FAS6220

The FAS6220 is designed to deliver availability, performance, scalability, and value so that storage becomes a strategic resource for operating your business more effectively and generating revenue more quickly. The FAS6200 series offers proven SAN performance, superior flash integration, and leading scale-out capabilities to meet a broad range of performance needs while seamlessly scaling to over 69PB.

The FAS6200 series includes High-Availability (HA) capabilities as well as advanced risk identification and service analytics that accelerate fault isolation and resolution, minimizing potential down-time, and accelerating return to service. Each model in the FAS6200 series is designed to offer enterprise performance that can scale to deliver many gigabytes per second and hundreds of thousands of IOPS to satisfy the most demanding workload challenges. All models offer extensive high-bandwidth connectivity options for 10GbE, 8Gb FC and 6Gb SAS and support a range of disk shelves and media that let you optimize for capacity, density or performance.

The FAS6220 can utilize up to 1200 drives and supports up to 4800TB of raw capacity. The FAS6220 has a maximum Flash Cache of 6TB with a maximum Flash Pool of 12TB. The FAS6220 provides 96GB of memory as well as 8 PCIe Expansion Slots in a 6U form factor. FAS6220 utilizes DATA ONTAP 8.1.2 GA and Data ONTAP 8.0.5 and also provides networking support for FC (Fibre Channel), FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet), iSCSI, NFS, CIFS/SMB, HTTP and FTP.
